There are two ways to link the frame to a FamilyAlbum account, depending on whether the recipient already has one or not.
If they already have a FamilyAlbum account
They can set up the frame themselves - just plug it in, connect to Wi-Fi, and log in to their FamilyAlbum account.
Only media visible under that account’s Visibility or Share Group settings will appear on the frame.
In other words, the frame shows exactly what that account can see in the FamilyAlbum app.
If they don’t have an account
You have two options:
- Ask them to create a FamilyAlbum account (you can then invite them to join your album or let them create their own). → Learn how to invite family members
- Set up the frame yourself using your own account before gifting it.
If you choose option (2), you can manage the frame and adjust settings like sleep mode or brightness from the Settings tab in your app.Please note:
- The frame will display all photos and videos currently visible in your FamilyAlbum account.
- Any new photos you add will automatically appear on their frame.
- To automatically receive new photos and to make remote changes, the frame must remain connected to Wi-Fi at its location.
