Uploading from Other Apps
On iPhone(iPad)
With the latest version of the FamilyAlbum app, you can use the share function to upload directly to your album from Google Photos and other photo apps.
*Date Taken information may be lost when uploading directly from apps other than photo apps.
1. Open Google Photos or the photo app of your choice, select the photos and videos you’d like to upload to FamilyAlbum, then tap the share icon.
2. Select “FamilyAlbum” from the app list, then select the album you’d like to upload to and the visibility setting of your uploads.
*If FamilyAlbum does not appear on the app list, please try restarting your device.
Note:
- Uploads made via the share function have information that differs from uploads made via the Add screen.
Because of this, your album may end up with duplicate uploads if you use both upload methods.
On Android devices
Album Admins (parent members) can use the share function of other apps to upload directly to their album.
1. Open Google Photos or the Gallery app, select the photos and videos you’d like to upload to FamilyAlbum, then tap the share icon.
2. Select “FamilyAlbum” from the app list, then upload your photos and videos.
If your uploads have incorrect Date Taken information, please check here.
