The FamilyAlbum widget is available on both iOS and Android. On iPhone/iPad, the widget requires FamilyAlbum version 16.1.0 or later. On Android, it requires FamilyAlbum version 17.12.0 or later.
How to add the FamilyAlbum widget
iPhone
Press and hold anywhere on your iPhone's Home Screen. Tap the + icon that appears in either the top-left or top-right corner, tap "FamilyAlbum", then tap “Add Widget”.
iPad
Swipe all the way to the right on your Home Screen to show Today View. Press and hold an empty area in Today View, then tap the + button when it appears in the top-left corner. Tap "FamilyAlbum", then tap “Add Widget”.
Android
Press and hold anywhere on your device's Home screen or the FamilyAlbum app icon, then tap "Widgets", and select "FamilyAlbum".
It may take a few minutes before the first photo is displayed. During that time, the widget will display a gray FamilyAlbum icon.
Please note that the widget will only display photos or videos shared with the whole family. If a few minutes have passed and no photos are displayed, it's possible that your album doesn't have any photos that are visible to everyone in the album. This issue can be resolved by opening the Add tab in the app, selecting photos/videos, and tapping "Share with Family". It may take some time for these new uploads to be displayed in the widget.
